| Explanation: "The Division of Drinking and Ground Waters is requesting that consulting
engineers include the appropriate project summary sheet for proposed waterline
extensions; proposed storage tanks; proposed pump stations; and/or proposed
pressure reducing stations and air relief valves when submitting projects which
include water distribution system improvements. The project summary sheets do
not replace the "Water Supply Data Sheets" which must be submitted with the
detail plans. While submission of the completed project summary sheets with the
proposed plans is not required, their use may expedite our plan review, require
fewer plan revisions and provide faster approval of the proposed plans. The
Division of Drinking and Ground Waters will be evaluating the effect of using
these project summary sheets on the number of comments required and the total
plan approval time for the various distribution system project types. If use of
these project summary sheets proves to be effective in improving our plan review
process, we will consider adopting such sheets as a required part of plan
approval applications. Your comments are welcome. Please submit your comments on
the project summary sheets to John Arduini at
